Marketing and Operations Manager

Job Description



  • Create video and photo content for social media and online use
  • Post daily updates to social channels (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) and/or schedule updates through
  • Write and send email newsletters via Mailchimp
  • Write and publish blog entries discussing technical aspects of the bike, tips for daily use, and general information about biking and sustainable cities
  • Update and create basic promotional, design, and branding materials
  • Coordinate with PR, marketing, and content creation contractors to ensure consistency of message


  • Answer phone calls, return voicemails, and help CEO respond to emails
  • Offer in-person test rides or one-on-one virtual (video call) demonstrations
  • Facilitate online, phone, and in-person order placement and fulfillment
  • Troubleshoot with current customers about any issues they may be having with the bike
  • Respond to warranty and return requests
  • Update products, pages, text, and images on Shopify-based website
  • Assist as needed with various tasks required to run and grow a small business


  • Comfortable riding an electric bike
  • Able to work remotely and in-person at our office in Sawtelle, Los Angeles
  • Able to work independently and take direction
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Dedication to prompt and professional customer service
  • High level of digital/online competency
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Shopify required
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred

Hours and Compensation

  • 15-20 hours per week to start
  • Hourly rate depending on experience
  • Opportunity for a performance-based raise after 3 months
